Cut'n'Paste using the 3rd (middle) mouse button does not work
This is a change which is related to Wayland which replaced the traditional X Window system. They disabled the middle click support for other functionallity: Ubuntu Middle Click
The good news, you can restore the traditional behaviour with a gsettings key:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface gtk-enable-primary-paste true
